Abstract:Aquatic products are very susceptible to spoilage and require certain methods to inhibit spoilage. As a new and efficient broad-spectrum cold sterilization technology, cold plasma (CP) can achieve uniform and stable discharge at atmospheric pressure, and has a good effect on the killing of common aquatic products pathogenic and spoilage bacteria, which can extend the shelf life of aquatic products. This paper reviews how CP is produced, the mechanism of inactivating microorganisms and the factors affecting its sterilization effect. Meanwhile, the killing effect of CP on different kinds of microorganisms and the effect on the quality of aquatic products were discussed, with a view to providing reference for the application of CP in the preservation of aquatic products.
